The data included in this release derive from a single Rhesus Macaque brain. The brain was subdivided in several sequential stages in order to fit within the field of view of the MERSCOPE imaging systems. The schema below outlines the tissue levels through each stage of subdivision in a hierarchical fasion. The accompanying table outlines more details of the source of each tissue level and the downstream level that it yields, a description of each level, and an example specimen name which is found with each dataset. The Specimen Name utlimately identifies the level of each sample and is found in the dataset metadata.
